Logan meets Rodeo Whip

Needless to say he loved it. Yummy treat to end the week.
As he is eating his vanilla ice-cream he shows me his teeth and asks me if they look super shiny and white? He thought the ice-cream was making them whiter :) he has a dentist appt Tuesday and thinks lots of vanilla ice-cream will result in a good check up ;) he asked what Stacy would say about his teeth. Lol. (Stacy is his hygienist)

Sweetness....

Trevor? Or Logan?

Wow! It's crazy how much Logan looks like Trevor! So cute...

Haircut...

So I told the lady that his cowlick in the back stuck up....
Next thing I knew she had taken the 3.5 guard and it was gone!

Turned out cute though.

September...gone already?!

This month has flown by...
Logan is settled into his pre-k class. Only one episode of crying in the last few weeks- it was a Monday... I wanted to cry too. ;) later in the day I asked him why he cried and he told me it was because he didn't get a big enough hug. {heart melts}
He is starting to morph from sweet baby boy to "boys are too tough to kiss their mamas". I don't love it but I expected it. He is still a snuggle bug sometimes.

We had our first big medical episode (one day I will think really? You called THAT big? But for now...) Logan came home with what I thought was a smashed finger. From a doll house (speaking of "really?!"). They have a handmade wooden dollhouse in their class room. Only Logan would stick his hand up in the roof of the dollhouse. So anyway... He told me he smashed his finger and I could see the bruise under his finger nail. The next morning I told his teacher just so she was aware of what happened. She looked at his finger and said that the dark green under his nail matches the color of the dollhouse. We looked at his finger closer and sure enough... He had a huge splinter up under his nail. Ugh! I let him stay at school and then took him to the Dr. later in the day. We are so lucky to have Twilight Pediatrics and Dr. Quinteros. The Dr. looked at Logan's finger and then back up, rubbed his head and said, "we have to get it out. It won't be fun but we can't leave it and risk infection." At this point I realized he probably wasn't going to use tweezers to get this out. Ugh again! Logan had figured it out too. Poor guy kept saying, "I just need a bandaid, give me a bandaid". After about 15 minutes the Dr. and nurse came in with a giant blue board...... My heart stopped. This is going down hill fast. Logan realized what it was too. A papoose! They wound up strapping him down. It was awful. He cried and screamed. He was mad... Very mad. Only his left arm was free and he kept fighting to get his right arm out too :( finally the Dr. started. 3 shots numbed his finger with Logan steady screaming at this point. He wanted his Daddy, he wanted a bandaid, he wanted his arm out, he was hot and he kept asking the Dr. Why he was hurting him. My mom and I fought back tears and tried to keep Logan still and comfortable. He was really very hot thx to being wrapped up and of course just the stress of the situation. It took the Dr. 1 more shot to numb Logan's finger and probably 10-15 (felt like an hour) minutes to get the hunk of wood out. Finally.... It was out and Logan was free. It was so traumatic for all 3 of us. The Papoose more than the actual procedure. My poor buddy cried and was so sad for the rest of the night. The whole ordeal exhausted him. Luckily his finger has healed fine. Still looks funny but hopefully his nail doesn't fall off. I bet he doesn't stick his hand in the dollhouse again ;)

In other new.... :)
Logan is learning to write his name. Of course he has the "L" and the "o" down put the "g" isnt coming so easily. "a" is ok and the "n" is upside down and closed. He is learning though. I am so excited for him.
He is very excited for Halloween and has chosen to be a Cowboy. Lucky for him Addison wants to be his Cowgirl. It's going to be toooo cute. Hunting season is here as well. Logan hadn't gone with Daddy yet but maybe soon. He can't wait!

Lots of fall fun coming up....

Logan's Totsites.com page...

In the beginning....

Friends of mine have been blogging for a while now and I always think, I should do that! Not that I expect anyone to really want to read about my little corner of the world BUT what a great way for me to keep up with life ;) and have something to look back on when Logan is grown. I started something similar when he was born....of course I can't think of the name of it right now but I will, eventually and I will try to link it to this blog.
Everyday is an adventure with Logan. I try not to think about the fact that it won't last forever... He is just so captivating and creative. And loving. And intelligent. And rotten to the core. One sweet little bundle that makes life worth living everyday.
So..... from now on, no more "I should write that down". Here it will be, in one spot. Forever. Or as long as the Internet and google allows. ;)

P.S. Please don't hold my spelling and grammer against me. Between my poor typing skills and my habitual reliance on spell/grammer check I pretty much stink at writing.
